Hi all
I am enjoying the zone icon contest so far but have a suggestion. There are a number of zone members who do not sing but who play instruments. It would be great if they too could show off their talent playing guitar, piano. flute, keyboard or whatever.
I hope you'll take this suggestion into consideration for the future.
I like this idea. I hope they do it one day.
I've often thought of doing a kind of general talent show later on. I've thought about it for a while, but it'll be a while, if I coordinate it, for us to put it together, cause I've been busy, with Icon, and real life stuff :)
Yes, I don't expect it to be done tomorrow. I know this icon took a lot of planning and hard work and that another contest will also take time to plan and get organized.

I think an instrumental contest is actually very difficult because of technology and also because it would be done over the internet. If you were to have an instrumental contest it would have to be for acoustic instruments only, if you included keyboard instruments the possibility to cheat would be that much greater because of the capabilities of keyboards. I think I'm a not bad keyboard player, but I can be bloody fantastic if I put in a couple of tracks into my recordings and no-one would have any way of proving otherwise.
I think a diverse talent show is a good idea. Not only for singers and instrument players, but also for those who may have some other talent, such as comics, or something like that.
A diverse talent show strikes me as a good idea. Maybe even something like poetry reading could be included. That's not my cup of tea, but I know some people like to write and read it. <G>
